Why Support Birchwood Camp?
Our ministry of Christian Hospitality reaches children, youth and adults from all over the state of Alaska. Our Camp and Retreat ministry consistently makes a difference in the lives of people; campers build healthy relationships, develop self-confidence and awareness of the world around them, and explore their faith in God through Jesus Christ.
Birchwood Camp is faithfully supported by many churches, individuals, and groups within Alaska. However, the Camp also appreciates support from churches and individuals outside of Alaska because there are fewer than 4000 United Methodist Church members in 28 churches in the Alaska United Methodist Conference.
Making camp available and affordable to all people is important to us. Because of that, we try and keep our prices as low as possible for our campers and groups. The fees we charge for camps and group useage do not cover the real cost of running a year-round staffed facility here in Alaska. That is why your support is vital.

Be a Volunteer.

Help send kids to Camp.
Contribute to our Bruce Roberts Memorial Scholarship fund, named in honor of a long-time Board member and Camp supporter. The fund pays camper registration for those who cannot afford it on their own; we have many requests for scholarships each year and sometimes not enough funds to grant all requests. Please note “Roberts Fund” when you make your donation.
Make a monetary gift.
Mail in your support via check or make a gift by credit card online! Simply click the “DONATE” button on the right hand side of your screen! Consider becoming a sustaining donor by making a monthly or quarterly gift to Birchwood Camp. You might also consider making a gift in honor or in memory of a loved one. You can also check if your employer will match your gift– most large corporations have a corporate giving program and will match employee gifts to registered 501(c)(3) organizations like Birchwood Camp. All donations are tax deductible.
