The focus of Woodlanders Camp is building wilderness camping skills. With an emphasis on nature and the environment, this camp is also just a lot of good adventurous fun! Woodlander campers are ready for a more challenging on-site camp experience. Woodlanders will participate in a variety of traditional Christian camp activities where our qualified staff lead the campers through the ropes course, canoeing, swimming, archery, Bible study, and campfire programs. Woodlander campers spend the week at our wilderness site, “Loon Village” a short walk or canoe away from the main camp. They will learn fire preparation, starting and cooking skills, as well as camp set-up while sleeping in tents with their fellow campers. Shelter building, orienteering, paddling and exploring the lake by canoe are common activities for the Woodlander campers. Bible studies in nature allow these campers to discover God in his creation at Birchwood. Woodlander campers will enjoy nightly campfires and days outside discovering the natural environment. They will visit the main camp for low ropes course, camp-wide games and closing worship. The small size of this camp allows for a strong community building experience and provides everyone the opportunity to use their newly acquired outdoor living skills. Woodlander Camp is a unique experience where you learn new skills, make new friends, and explore new places. This camp has limited space: only 12 camper spaces available per session—register early!
