Scholarships

Not sure your family can afford camp? We believe strongly that camp is an important experience for every child, and we want to help get your child to camp! Check out the resources below for support.

Set up a payment plan. Our online registration system allows you to spread out payments over several months. The earlier you register the more payment options will be available to you. We can also create a custom payment plan for your family; contact us if you are interested.

Talk to your church. Many churches sponsor scholarship funds so that children and youth in their congregations can attend camp. Be sure to ask early, as many churches have limited scholarship resources.

Check out the Kelsey-Shepard Scholarship opportunity for outstanding young United Methodist leaders. This $200 scholarship is awarded yearly by the Alaska United Methodist Conference. Nomination forms are due by April 30 each year.

Download and complete a Birchwood Camp Scholarship Application (.pdf file) for financial assistance (only one per family required).  Our memorial scholarship fund was established in memory of two long time Birchwood Camp supporters: Bruce Roberts and Linda Jean Myers. This scholarship fund is supported by gifts from individuals and churches because they believe that the camp experience is important for your child. You can fill out an online version of the scholarship form when you log in to your Birchwood Camp account (click here to log in).
